Video: Great Pyrenees Loves To Get Weighed in Exchange for Treats

Dogs often remember when, where, and how they can get treats. In one such Instagram video, a Great Pyrenees named Ritchie loves to get weighed in a veterinary hospital. The reason behind it is that he gets treats after that. It seems the pet is smart enough to remember the process and follow it when his owner is busy getting his prescription.

In an adorable video on Instagram, a Great Pyrenees named Ritchie has won the internet with his gesture. The owner mentions in an on-screen caption that he “loves to get weighed because he gets a treat after.” It begins with the dog approaching the weighing machine and climbing on it.

Meanwhile, his dog mom gets his prescription. In the clip, Ritchie’s front legs are on the weighing machine, while the back legs are still on the ground. Despite his actions, none of the staff initially pays attention. The canine supposedly wonders why nobody is giving him treats, and thus, he waits patiently on the scale.

While waiting, a few customers pet the Great Pyrenees. Ritchie keeps looking at his dog mom from time to time, as if he is requesting her to ask someone for treats. An on-video explanation states that he has already received many treats, which may be why no one is giving him more. Then, a staff member tells him that his pet parent is calling him and he should “go home now.” However, the employer seems to have difficulty refusing Ritchie’s treats as the latter looks at her with puppy eyes.

The staff member promises the dog that he will get more treats next time. Responding to this, the uploader mentions Ritchie’s thoughts in the caption. It reads, “Why next time if I’m right here?” Viewers cannot get enough of the dog’s actions in the Great Pyrenees video. A user commented, “He knows how to put on a sad face to get more treats,” while another wrote, “He’s prepared to wait for as long as it takes.”

Netizens poured their love for the dog in the comments and jokingly asked the hospital staff to give him treats. Meanwhile, the Great Pyrenees video has crossed 52K likes since the upload.
