Video: Dog Runs off to Stranger’s Campsite Looking for Watermelon & Even Bites Into It

Sometimes, your fur baby will forget you even exist because food took the top spot on their priority list. No amount of well-balanced meals is ever going to be enough for them to stop chasing around other people’s snacks — a fact every pet owner is already aware of. So, it didn’t come as a surprise when this dog, a Bulldog named Jerry, ran off to a stranger’s campsite looking for watermelon in a hilarious Instagram video. Jerry’s punishment was air jail, not that he felt guilty afterwards.

Dog gets air jailed after escaping to someone else’s campsite and tasting a watermelon

There’s nothing more hilarious than the video of this dad air jailing his dog after the pooch escaped to someone else’s campsite for watermelon. The viral Instagram post explained that Jerry the Bulldog ran off to a stranger’s camping area after seeing the fruit, and while there, he got a little taste of it. The clip showed the dog dad carrying Jerry from far away towards their tent while keeping him in an air jail as punishment. Even then, there wasn’t a flicker of guilt on the chonky boy’s face.

Meanwhile, the caption explained that the dog has “a sixth sense for round objects.” So, his running off to the neighboring campsite right after seeing the juicy round fruit made perfect sense. Jerry’s chances of chasing a tennis ball or any other spherical toy? Slim. But toss a watermelon into the mix and it’s game on. “One look, one sprint, and the melon never stood a chance,” stated the text, explaining his no-so-typical obsession.

While the dog’s video only showed his dad hoisting him into the air jail, he had already taken a bite out of the watermelon before that. It appears in this instance, Jerry was more swift than justice, which only added to the comedy. Commenters, however, believed the punishment had no effect on him. One user thought the Bulldog’s face showed how he gave “zero ‘effs” and would probably do it again. A second individual even cheered him on, “Yes, get that watermelon Jerry!”
