There’s no hiding the fact that dogs are highly expressive. Those who believe otherwise haven’t met a kennel of them howling in excitement at the latest addition to their family. Backing this claim, a video showed a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy arriving at his new home. However, she wasn’t the only furry baby in the house and had a somewhat confusing response after meeting more of her kind. It might be difficult to determine whether they echoed similar sentiments, greeting her with howls and screams, but the owner made the encounter all the more hilarious.
Owner quips dogs are ’emotionally well-adjusted’ with new puppy
A domino effect comes into play every time a dog barks, triggering other furry friends in the surroundings to join in. This little fellow witnessed a similar chaotic moment firsthand after meeting his siblings and might need some time to recover from all the exhilaration. In a viral Instagram video, a dog owner recorded his four-legged companions reacting to a new puppy coming home. One can hear multiple pooches howling, seemingly sharing their opinions, in unison after the pup’s “day 1” in their house.
The dog dad joked in the in-video text, “Day 1 with the new puppy and everyone is emotionally well-adjusted about it.” The clip first showed the tiny Rhodesian Ridgeback furball, totally flabbergasted by her siblings’ response to her joining the family. The frame then shifts toward the owner, who walked out of his room, down the stairs, and to the living room to see what was going on. There, he found his other two pooches patiently waiting on the couch, pretending nothing happened. The look of innocence on their faces would tell a different story, but we advise you to be aware.
Addressing their not-so-calm reaction to the new puppy at home, the owner told his dogs in the video, “Oh, I know what’s happening.” Meanwhile, the two pooches glared at their dad with a look of betrayal and innocent eyes, prompting him to quip in the caption, “It’s so nice my dogs feel comfortable sharing their feelings.” Besides being very expressive, dogs are often extremely emotional and have trust issues, especially about the loyalty of their owners. Always expect looks and growls if you go out and meet another dog.
