Mike Brown is one proud dog dad as his rescue pup, named Cactus, had the golden opportunity to throw the first pitch at a Miami Marlins MLB game. Rescued from the California deserts, Cactus is now living a safe and sound life with his human dad in Miami.
To celebrate the big game day moment of the canine’s life, his owner posted a video on Instagram capturing the entire journey. In the post’s caption, he penned, “From an abandoned, sick puppy in the California desert to throwing out the first pitch at a Major League Baseball game.” The owner continued, “It’s been quite a year for Cactus!”
The pet parent further wrote, “No one deserves it more.” Brown added, “Thank you @marlins for making his day (and ours) unforgettable.” The Instagram video started by showing the rescue dog and his owner entering the stadium. The pup parent went on to tell the guards that his dog was about to throw the first pitch at the game.
The clip then displayed Cactus getting his very own jersey for the match. The owner then practised throwing the ball with the adorable canine. And finally, the big moment came when the dog walked onto the massive field. He then made his first throw along with his human dad.
