Ellen DeGeneres paid an emotional tribute to her rescue dog, Augie, who passed away recently. In the caption of the Instagram post, DeGeneres expressed her gratitude for all the beautiful memories she got to share with the dog. The former talk show host began the caption by writing, “We had to say goodbye to Augie yesterday.” She continued, “We rescued him 12 years ago and he was so grateful.” The retired comedian further penned, “He gave us so much love. He will be missed.” She concluded the caption by adding, “There will never be another like him.”
The first photo in the carousel gave a closer look at DeGeneres’ late rescue dog, Augie. Some of the pictures showed her wife, Portia de Rossi, affectionately taking a selfie with the little canine.
