Dog’s Morning Routine Is All About Breakfast in Hilarious Video

For a lot of people, mornings don’t really begin until coffee is in hand or the first bite of breakfast is taken. And as it turns out, dogs can be just as food-driven as their human companions. Some even take their mealtime routine more seriously than we do. One particularly determined dog has gone viral for his morning routine — specifically, the countdown to his breakfast.

Dog’s morning routine is all about counting down to breakfast time

Shared by Instagram user @jedithecorgi, the now-viral video walks viewers through the steps of Jedi the Corgi’s morning routine, which revolves entirely around breakfast. The video begins at 6:58 a.m., with Jedi just beginning to stir, still cozy but clearly aware that food time is near. By 6:59 a.m., he’s fully alert, sitting at the corner of the bed, silently watching and waiting.

At exactly 7 a.m., the calm breaks. Jedi enters what his owner calls “the ‘yelling’ part,” barking determinedly at his sleeping human. When that doesn’t work, the next minute — 7:01 a.m. — is dubbed “the ‘getting crazy’ part,” where Jedi begins digging frantically at the bed in frustration. By 7:02 a.m., things escalate to the “small bites” phase, where the persistent pup begins nipping gently at his owner in a last-ditch effort to get breakfast started.

Finally, at 7:03 a.m., Jedi’s patience pays off. The “running to breakfast” moment arrives, as the owner, now awake, heads toward the kitchen to prepare the long-awaited breakfast. Jedi can barely contain his excitement as he sprints alongside his human, victorious in his mission.

Many viewers found Jedi’s commitment both adorable and highly relatable. One commenter wrote, “Corgis have built-in alarm clocks for meals.” Another joked, “Hahaha, he knows what he wants.” Someone else said what everyone was thinking: “Don’t we all feel this way??”

With Jedi as your alarm clock, you don’t need coffee to wake up; just having a determined Corgi with a strict breakfast schedule suffices.
