Mandy Moore Mourns Loss of Dog in Heartbreaking Tribute

On Nov. 1, Mandy Moore announced the death of her beloved dog Jackson, whom she lovingly called Jackie. The canine had been her family’s companion for more than 14 years, with the singer noting that he was an “excellent protector.” Moore posted a tear-jerking post on Instagram to pay tribute to her late pup. She wished him a great time across the rainbow bridge, where she hoped he would reunite with his sibling, Joni, who passed away in 2020.

Mandy Moore writes an emotional note for ‘most gentle guy’ Jackie

Mandy Moore took to Instagram to mourn the loss of her beloved pet dog Jackson. She began the heartbreaking post by calling the pup her “beautiful boy,” thanking him for keeping her company for over 14 years. The singer jokingly noted that although the family didn’t need any protection, Jackie did an excellent job as their “protector.”

In the post, she revealed that Jackson wasn’t the biggest fan of kids or fellow animals. However, he still showered them with love in his own unique way. She reminisced about his “big bark” that often scared away people. However, she noted that Jackie was the “most gentle guy who was secretly scared of his own shadow.”

She wrapped up the touching Instagram post wishing that he managed to find Joni across the rainbow bridge. Joni was Mandy Moore’s almost 13-year-old dog who passed away in 2020. The canines shared a special bond, with the singer stating that Joni loved her brother Jackson in a tear-jerking tribute.

Moore also hoped Jackie had lots of giant pools to swim in and tennis balls to play with after his passing. The dog’s love for tennis balls is well-known to her fans, as he almost died after shredding and eating one in 2019. He was rushed into emergency surgery, with the singer thanking the medical professionals for doing a fabulous job and saving his life.
