Husky ‘Upset’ With Owner Shows Just How Sensitive Dogs Can Be

Moving day can be stressful and emotional for humans but do not leave out dogs yet. In a viral TikTok video, a Siberian Husky named Titan was visibly upset with the owners’ move to a new house. Hiding out in the bathroom, he faced the door while his owner assured him that things would be fine soon. The loving scratches and the encouragement seemed to work on the Husky, who seemingly felt better and turned to his usual chirpy self.

This goes to show how sensitive dogs can be to new changes in their environment. While this might be one story, sensitivity levels in dogs exist and vary widely among breeds and individuals.

Watch owner comfort dog as family moves houses

In September, TikTok user @iambluethesiberiann shared a bittersweet video of her Siberian Husky Titan upset over the family’s move to a new house. In the video, she captioned, “My dog gets really upset when we move!” Titan spent time alone in the bathroom brooding when the owner gave him some love. He faced the bathroom door, refusing to look the other way initially. The video shared saw the owner comforting the dog, giving him the assurance he needed.

Meanwhile, the video received over 409K likes. The TikTok user also has another Siberian Husky named Blue, a Golden Retriever named Maverick, and a cat named Storm.

On the day of the move, the owner revealed that Titan usually gets upset with the change. In the video, she gave the Husky some lovable scratches, promising that things would get better. She also assured Titan that he would accompany the family as they moved to a new house. After promising Titan that the family would not leave him alone, the Husky got up on his feet, instantly feeling cheerful.

The comments section was flooded with sweet messages of support for Titan. The Husky owner also clarified in the comments that they were moving within the building. Furthermore, she confessed to relocating for work, which was the reason behind their frequent moves. The owner assured followers that the family was in the process of moving to a permanent location soon. In another video, the owner showered love on an upset Titan amidst their move.

According to Ferndale Kennels & Travel, environmental changes such as moving to a new home can trigger anxiety among pets.
