Abandoned Pit Bull Recognizes Her Puppies in Heartwarming Reunion Video

A video of a mother Pit Bull reuniting with her five little puppies has melted the hearts of many on social media. The video shows the dog immediately recognizing her babies, and the pups in the video also get excited to finally be with their mother.

The gray-colored Pit Bull is believed to have been abandoned in Connecticut. After giving birth, she separated from her puppies. On August 28, some residents found her alone in the Lincoln Street area in Waterbury. NBC Connecticut reported that the locals then started to look after the Pit Bull and gave her food and water. Soon after, a nonprofit animal rescue and advocacy organization, BARC CT, took the dog under their care. The organization then successfully reunited the abandoned mama dog with her five babies.

Watch Pit Bull reunite with her pups in emotional video

Posting the video on Facebook, BARC CT wrote, “There was no way to hold back the tears.” They then shared how “It was one of the most emotional moments,” and although it took “LOTS of time,” they were able to achieve the feat with “teamwork.” The video captured the heartfelt moment of the mother Pit Bull recognizing and reuniting with her pups.

The clip begins with the mama dog walking towards a basket with five Pit Bull puppies, including two black-colored and three brown-colored pups. The mother first sniffs one of the brown puppies and then sniffs the rest. She expresses her happiness by wagging her tail. Her babies also become excited and try to crawl out of the basket just to be with their mama.

In the caption of the Facebook video, BARC CT acknowledged and heartily appreciated the hard work and dedication of the local community, which came together to make this heart-warming reunion happen.
