There’s little cuter than a doggie doppelgänger. Even if it’s a little silly, it’s hard not to smile at a Great Dane named after Scooby-Doo, or the hordes of Labs named Marley that sprung up after Marley & Me‘s cinematic debut. But few can claim an exact likeness to their famous namesake. Snoopy, the cartoon dog of Peanuts fame, is stated in the comics to be a Beagle. However, one Mini Sheepadoodle has fans convinced she’s the real deal as far as Snoopy lookalikes go.

Is the real Snoopy a Mini Sheepadoodle?

Bayley, a Mini Sheepadoodle just under 2 years of age, wasn’t born a star. But when her owners created an Instagram for her, she quickly rose in popularity due to her famous lookalike.

Bayley has a white body with solid black ears and nose, just like Snoopy’s trademark cartoon appearance. Bayley’s breed, the Mini Sheepadoodle, is a cross between an Old English Sheepdog and Miniature Poodle. And yet, she looks far closer in appearance to Snoopy than most Beagles. Bayley’s adorable and unique appearance has led to many opportunities for this charming pup, such as a sponsorship from Chewy.com. Even Bayley’s daily routine, such as enjoying a ‘pup-cup’ treat, can earn her over 200,000 likes. With any luck, Bayley’s on the right track to becoming just as well-known as her cartoon lookalike.

Dogs who rise to social media stardom

Bayley’s story may seem unique. After all, she does have an interesting appearance that most dogs don’t share. But your dog doesn’t have to be a carbon copy of a famous character to make it big on social media. Creating social media for your dog can help you feel connected to other pet owners and give you some pride in the characteristics you love about your dog. We know that dogs can improve your in-person social life; they might also help you network and grow your social circle online.

Just don’t put pressure on your pup’s potential stardom. Rather than worrying about how many views or likes your dog’s content receives, focus on spending quality time with them. If your next fun outing with your dog generates some adorable pictures or videos you know the world would love to see, awesome – just don’t make them the central focus of your interactions with your beloved pet.
