During the global COVID-19 pandemic and widespread times of shelter in place, most of us are being advised to work from home and practice social distancing on those occasions when we do need to leave the house.
Obviously, this isn’t the case for essential workers on the front lines like firefighters, police officers, doctors, and nurses who need to be out and about to carry out their duties. That’s why we’re celebrating May 19th as #WeSayThanks Day to honor all those who are still out there keeping us safe.
Remember to wear purple–the combined blue and red colors of emergency service workers–on #WeSayThanks Day to show your support!
Of course, we can’t thank our firefighters enough. Luckily, resident firehouse dogs are also supporting our heroes! Here’s a salute to nine noble firehouse dogs who are still standing by firefighters during the pandemic and giving them all the love they deserve.
