Hilary Duff’s Dog Momo: Breed, Age, and More

Hilary Duff surprised fans when she introduced Momo, her new pup, to her Instagram family. The cuteness of the pup instantly melted everyone’s heart and they were all eager to know more about Momo. Here is everything we know about Hilary Duff’s dog Momo’s age and breed.

How old is Hilary Duff’s dog Momo?

The exact age of Hilary Duff’s rescue dog Momo is not known. But the actress introduced the pet pooch on her Instagram on May 3, 2017, as a small, adorable all-black pup.

The pup was adopted from Love Leo Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit. A year later, the “Lizzie McGuire” star adopted a puppy named Lucy from the same center.

Even the rescue center thanked the actress for adopting the pup stating that he they went from being unwanted to having the best life ever.

Needless to say, the new family member drew everyone’s attention and received lots of love and a warm welcome from everyone. But it was the name that Hilary Duff was confused with.

The rescue pup was named Mojito at the rescue center. So the actress was confused whether to name their new buddy Bean or Momo. She even asked for help from her fans. Eventually, she settled with Momo.

What breed is Hilary Duff’s dog Momo?

The breed of Hilary Duff’s dog Momo is Chug. They are a mix of a Chihuahua and a Pug and are sometimes called a Pughuahua (or Pugwawa). They are the ideal companion for small spaces. But exercise is a daily requirement for them to stay healthy and fit. Their lifespan is 12-16 years.

Hilary Duff is not only a dog mom to Momo. She also has other pets Lucy, Winnie, Ham, and Peaches. The star also had pet pooches, Jak, Dubie, Beau, Lola and Coco. Sadly, they all passed away a few years back.
