Many fans want to know the Dog Man books in order of release. Created and illustrated by Dav Pikey, there’s more than a dozen graphic novels in the Dog Man series, with the first book published in 2016. The books are so popular that the author still plans to release more novels in the series, including one expected to drop in 2025. Beyond the main series, there are other Dog Man comics, activity books, and magazines that readers can purchase too. Here’s a list of the Dog Man series in chronological order.

Soon to be added to this list is Dog Man: Big Jim Believes, the fourteenth installment in the series, which is expected to release in Fall 2025. The book was teased at the end of Big Jim Begins and announced on December 3, 2024.
Apart from the occasional Dog Man teaser, there are a few other bonus comics in the series that are worth reading as well. This includes Captain Underpants Meets Dog Man, which is a crossover between the two series; Dog Man and the League of Misfits, which is a part of The Adventures of Captain Underpants: 25th and a Half Anniversary Edition; and Wally’s World, which is an extended version of the 11th book, Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea.
A spinoff series called Cat Kid Comic Club first released in December 2020, after the character was introduced in the Dog Man series. There are five books in the Cat Kid Comic Club so far.
Last but not least, a 3D-animated movie called “Dog Man,” written and directed by Peter Hastings, debuted in the US on January 31, 2025. According to IMDB, it has grossed over $120 million worldwide by March 12, 2025.
