Who has the best pet blog? Time to make your voice heard, as the nominations for the 2013 Petties Awards are now underway, and nominations are now open.
Now in its fourth year, The Petties is considered the Oscars of the pet-blogging community, as it recognizes the best pet blogs as voted on by fellow bloggers and online readers.
The 2013 edition has new categories, including the addition of Best Pet Mobile Application and Best Active-Living Blog. In another new twist, the 10 nominees for Best Video Post will be interspersed throughout the ceremony.

Each category winner will receive a $1,000 donation to the animal shelter of their choice, a custom Petties Award trophy, and a badge for their blog site.
Also don’t forget to submit a nominee for our Petties Grant and voice your vote for a standout shelter or rescue. If you know of a shelter or rescue volunteer who goes the extra mile (and beyond), you can also submit a paragraph on why they are an Unsung Hero (the winner is chosen by a DogTime panel). Did we mention that each one carries a $10,000 award?
To date, the Petties has donated $50,000 to non-profit rescues and shelters in the United States.
