Animals removed from Detroit residence featured in video

Yesterday, DogTime.com reported on Young Calicoe, and an Internet video where he took the viewer on a guided tour of a Detroit, Mich., residence that showed caged and restrained dogs.

Calicoe asked, “Anyone want any fighting dogs?” He also referred to the animals as “champions in the making.” Other comments gave the impression the animals, including a rooster, may have been used for fighting, which is illegal in Michigan.

After the video went viral, the Michigan Humane Society claimed the matter was under investigation.

Today they acted.

According to ABC Action News at XYZ.com, police and MHS officials entered the property shown in the video and removed all the animals.

XYZ.com posted a video of officials removing a dog from the property on its website.
