Police In Russia Search For Suspects Who Dyed Stray Dog Pink

People on social media were outraged when they saw pictures of a stray dog that was dyed pink. Witnesses on the scene reported the dog via VKontakte, a Russian social media site, to wildlife volunteers. Members of a social media group began to nickname the dog “Pink Elephant” and asked the volunteers to take care of the poor pup.

Vera Ivanova was one of the volunteers that went to where the dog was spotted. She was able to take the friendly pup to a local shelter where other volunteers began to wash the dye out of the dog’s fur, which is normally white. The dye is slowly coming out at the time of writing this article.

While the dog appears to be healthy, he has been vomiting, possibly due to the dye. The case was reported to police, and they are looking for suspects who may be charged with animal cruelty. Hopefully this pup will be back to his normal color and find a forever home soon.
