Dog Rescued From Storm Drain After Hiding From Coyote

A dog named Sparky escaped one desperate situation only to fall into another. A neighbor spotted the pup being carried away in the mouth of a coyote. The neighbor tried to shoo the coyote away so Sparky could get away. The coyote dropped the pup, and Sparky took off into a storm drain to hide.

The coyote was too big to follow the little dog and gave up. But Sparky had another problem. He couldn’t get out of the storm drain by himself. So the Orange County Fire Department’s rescue team showed up to help the frightened pup. They got to work and managed to bring Sparky back to the surface.

The pup was reunited with his family and sent to the veterinarian to get checked out. Luckily, he was in good condition despite the whole ordeal. If you live in an area where coyotes are known to show up from time to time, make sure you have a secure yard and keep an eye on your pup when he goes outside.

How do you make sure your dog stays safe from coyotes and other wildlife? Are you glad to see Sparky back with his family? Let us know in the comments below!
