Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Boasts ‘I’m a Grandmother!’ After Daughter Adopts New Puppy

Food Network star Ree Drummond is celebrating the arrival of a new fur baby in her family.

New Puppy Makes Instagram Debut

Earlier this week, The Pioneer Woman’s daughter, Alex Drummond, posted on Instagram that she and her husband, Mauricio Scott, have adopted a puppy.

“Our hearts will never be the same! Welcome to the fam, George. ” the 25-year-old wrote on a picture of Scott cuddling an adorable puppy.

Ree is among Alex’s 227K followers on the social media platform and she couldn’t stop herself from commenting on the addition of a new furry family member.

“I’m a GRANDMOTHER!!!! ” Ree exclaimed.

Sir George Scott, as he’s since become known, now has his own Instagram account (of course he does) called @georgethegoldenfloof. The popular pooch already has 10.2K followers. (Cue social media envy.)

“Dis is mah crib!!” George captioned one carousel of pics and a video. “I like to take nappies under the tables and chairs. And play fetch. And chew my bully stick. There’s a big tree inside my house that has lots of sparkly balls on it but mom and dad always get mad at me for taking them! What’s up with that? I’m learning to go potty outside like a “good boy”! My parents are so proud!! Come visit.”

Ree Drummond and Her Big Furry Family

The Drummond family members are no strangers to animal companions; they interacted with plenty of them on their Oklahoma ranch. Ree has a mind-blowing dog brood of seven pups. Her “porch full” of fluffers includes everything from “big athletic Labs to floppy, lazy Basset Hounds.”

“They set up shop on the front porch,” the cookbook author told People. “They each have their own little bed on the front porch. They’re outdoor dogs mostly anyway, and they have a whole barn to themselves if they want to go sleep in the barn sometimes, but they hardly ever leave the porch if we’re home. It’s really funny.”

Will Sir George Scott be an only puppy? We doubt it. But he sure is enjoying being in the spotlight right now!
