A shelter dog’s life is filled with hardships. These innocent creatures face a risk to their lives due to a lack of timely adoptions. A recent post on social media captures a similar struggle of a canine. The video focuses on a Shepsky named Cooper, who was surrendered by his owner following a neighbor’s complaint. The pup might lose his life if he doesn’t get a new home on time.
Shelter dog surrendered by owner desperately needs a home
In the above-mentioned video, a shelter home requests the adoption of a dog as he is closer to his deadline. The post mentions Cooper’s owner left him at the shelter after neighbors complained he was “too vocal.” Moreover, he ended up spending most of his life outside and even lacked the security of a fenced yard. Thus, he lost his home and is alone at the shelter kennel and is now at risk of being euthanized.
The caption described the 3-year-old as “a sweet but scared Shepsky whose world fell apart after neighbors complained he was “too vocal.” Cooper was left alone instead of receiving “the training, enrichment, or companionship he deserved.”
The uploader also mentioned, “His final notice expired & with the high intake of dogs after the 4th of July, the risk of him being euthanized for space tomorrow morning is extremely high.” As such, the Shepsky “urgently needs a foster & rescue or a responsible adopter!”
The owner’s surrender notes described the canine as a kind who loves playing with a ball and “Was kept outdoors without a fence.” Moreover, he lived with a 17-year-old and reacted well, and he lived with small dogs. Cooper has “Medium energy,” and “Knows sit, lay down, give paw.” He is also “good in the car”, and isnt “destructive.”
Netizens shared their reactions, with one saying, “SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL and just bring a dog. He needs pledges. Pledge $10 RR LETS SAVE HIM.” Another one wrote, “Cooper has the sweetest little face! Pledging $10 for this deserving, handsome boy!”. The innocent fur baby will hopefully receive a new home filled with happiness and warmth.
