Dog Sneaks Into Neighbor’s Home To Play With Toddler & His ‘Double Life’ Is Exhausting

Dogs can have favorite people outside their immediate families, and Drake’s relationship with his neighbor’s toddler is a sweet example of that. The pup apparently visits the child so often that the family has started treating his trips like a normal part of the day. A video shared online captures one of their cozy visits and explains why the neighbors joke that the pup has a “double life.”

A dog named Drake has apparently developed a particularly close friendship with his neighbor’s toddler. A video shared by @ivyonnacorinne shows just how comfortable the two have become. In the clip, Drake can be seen sitting on the couch beside the young child, who stays close to the tired pup and wraps an arm around him for a cuddle.

Drake appears to have worked up quite a sweat getting there. According to the toddler’s mom, the dog had sprinted across the yard to make his way over to their home. As a result, he was panting and ready for a rest once he arrived. By the time the video was filmed, Drake was tucked beneath a blanket while the toddler happily snuggled beside him.

The scene suggests this is far from a one-time visit. The family’s Instagram account features several videos showing Drake spending time with the toddler. It seems the dog has made visiting his young friend a regular part of his day. His enthusiasm for these visits even prompted the toddler’s mother to joke about his unusual routine. “The neighbor’s dog is exhausted from his double life at our house,” the text on the video reads.

The accompanying caption gives an even clearer idea of just how frequently Drake stops by. “Drake really sneaks over here every day just to wear himself out and go home,” the family wrote. “At this point he needs his own room.”
