Owner’s Big Dog Has Turned Walks Into a Very Slow Tour of Everything

While taking a big dog for a walk may seem like a simple routine, this paw parent takes the experience up a notch by adding a fun twist to it. For most owners, a walk means grabbing the leash, stepping outside, getting some fresh air, letting the dog take in the sights, and then heading home.

But for this paw parent, every walk is less about getting from point A to point B and more about giving the dog a detailed tour of the neighborhood. That’s because their Great Pyrenees is extremely curious and constantly stops to observe everything happening around him, turning an ordinary walk into a fun little adventure.

Dog owner discovers walking a big dog doesn’t always mean more steps

This owner thought taking a big dog for walks would mean adding more steps to the day, but they were wrong. They shared a clip on Instagram through the account @goose_the_goober_ and immediately received massive attention from pet lovers around the world. The video shows an adorable dog named Goose taking frequent pauses during his walk just to see what is happening around him. He stops to look at a big tree, a garden, a wall, and even the other animals he encounters along the way.

The hilarious part is that the paw parent thought that, since they were walking a big dog, they would have to cover a lot of ground. However, Goose had other plans. He decided to slow down and soak in the beauty of the outside world, adding only 25 steps to his owner’s day.

There is something incredibly charming about Goose exploring the trees and his surroundings with curiosity in his eyes. While humans often rush through their days, this dog experiences the world with eagerness and excitement. He stops, sniffs, observes, and investigates things that others might barely notice. He seemingly finds beauty in the smallest details and loves taking his time to explore everything around him.

One user perfectly captured the vibe of the video, commenting, “No, but actually he’s teaching you to take everything slower and see more. He’ll make you live longer.”
