Shelter Dog Has No Idea the Family Who Saw Her Video Is There To Take Her Home for ‘Trial Adoption’

Nina’s latest update from Maui Humane Society is giving animal lovers the hopeful moment they’ve been waiting for. The rescue pup had no idea a normal shelter day would turn into a possible new beginning. Cassondra Christman shared the video on Instagram after someone who saw Nina’s story came to meet her. Now Nina is in a Paws to Adopt trial adoption for around 10 days.

The shelter dog gets the surprise of a lifetime after her story reaches the right people

The reel begins inside Nina’s kennel, where the day starts like any other visit. Cassondra brings her a new toy, a colorful blankie, and plays with her ice cream cone toy. Nina leans in for pets, enjoys the attention, and gets a kiss before the volunteer leaves. Soon after, someone who had seen her video stops by. Nina stares for a while, then realizes the visitors are staying.

What Nina does not know at first is that the visitors have an appointment to meet her. The mood quickly changes as she eagerly heads out for the meet-and-greet. The on-screen text says the meeting went great, and Nina shows off her tricks. Her potential family also seems excited, giving the moment a hopeful turn.

The video then shows Nina walking toward a car as people wish her good luck. By the end, the on-screen text says everyone loves Nina and is cheering for her. It also explains that she will be in trial adoption for about 10 days. Cassondra wrote that this trial gives Nina and the family time to settle in.

Cassondra added that it may be early, but Nina is sleeping in a home and surrounded by love. She thanked everyone who shared, commented, and rooted for Nina’s story. Viewers also filled the comments with support. One wrote, “YAY so so happy for Nina.” Another added, “So happy for you, Nina.” A third urged her new family, “PLEASE BE PATIENT AND KIND WITH HER SHE NEEDS TIME.”
