A recent video shared on Instagram captured one of those moments after a rescue dog named Chilli attended an adoption event, but did not leave with a family. The clip has since touched viewers online, many of whom were surprised that the dog was still searching for a home.
Rescue dog waits to get adopted and find forever home
The video, shared by @ana_mcram, documented Chilli attending an adoption event hosted at Dirty Dogs at Del Mar. Throughout the clip, Chilli can be seen sitting quietly as people stop to pet her before eventually walking away. The onscreen caption described her as “a rescue dog waiting patiently to be adopted and finally have a family.”
Despite not being adopted during the event, the post explained that Chilli has many qualities that would make her an ideal companion. She is a tripod dog, meaning she has three legs, but according to the description, she handles walks well and only needs a few short outings each day. Her calm personality was also highlighted, with the post noting that she is neither high-energy nor difficult to care for.
The rescue dog is said to enjoy cuddling while also being comfortable spending time alone. According to the post, Chilli does well in her crate and has not had accidents inside the home. She also reportedly gets along with other dogs and cats once she becomes familiar with them.
