A dog named Holly is way too excited to visit her grandparents’ house; so much so that she does not even pretend she will miss her dad. A hilarious Instagram video from @hollythebluestaffy shows the Blue Staffy having very clear priorities. She waits at the front door wearing a harness, fully focused on getting inside her grandparents’ house, and has no time for a sad goodbye to her dad.
The on-screen text reads, “Dropping off Holly at the Grandpawrents (my view vs their view),” while the caption under the video says, “At least pretend you’re going to miss me Holly” — but Holly is too busy thinking about all the fun she is going to have.
Dog dashes into grandparents’ house when she arrives and forgets about dad
While dropping the dog off at her grandparents’ house, Holly’s dad hopes for a sweet moment as he asks, “You gonna miss me?” But Holly does not seem interested in answering. And the second that door opens, she is off racing into the house at full speed, charging down the hallway without so much as a backward glance.
Any hope that she might stop and give Dad one last look disappears right there. For the grandparents’ side of the video, someone inside films her arrival as Holly tears into the room and makes a beeline for her grandpa, who is sitting on the couch. She jumps right up to greet him, evidently excited to be there.
It is like Holly knows exactly where she is, and she seems very happy about it—a positive association that dogs usually make with places where they get lots of attention and affection. If her grandparents’ house means fun, it makes sense that the dog treats the visit like the best part of her day, seemingly forgetting about her dad.
It is a brutal goodbye for Holly’s dad, but for the viewers, it is hard not to laugh. After all, Holly is living her best life.
