The video’s on-screen caption says, “Random things my frenchie can balance on his tushy,” and honestly, it is a flex. Cosmo does not even start small — one moment, the dog is holding steady with apples stacked on top of each other, and next, he is balancing a tall tumbler like it belongs there. The video keeps upping the stakes, and Cosmo keeps shining bright.
What makes the whole thing even better is Cosmo’s face — he does not look stressed or confused and actually looks pleased with himself, with his mouth open and tongue out. It is as if he knows he is putting on a great show. The video’s caption jokingly calls Cosmo “the most expensive table I’ve ever had,” and he might just as well be the most skillful balancer as well.
A lot of this balancing skill comes down to training and the kind of body control a dog builds through repetition. Balance work like this relies on a pup’s ability to stay still and hold a pose until the reward arrives — and Cosmo definitely seems to understand the assignment.
