Following a viral cleaning hack sounds good in theory, but things rarely go as planned when pets are involved. Mericia Giguere over at @mericia_giguere is a fan of home design, so she naturally tried that trick where you put your pillows out in the sun to sanitize them. It seemed like a smart move. However, her dog, Blue, had a completely different interpretation of the setup.
This hilarious video shows exactly why you can’t leave soft things on the floor. Especially when you have a Pit Bull around who loves a good nap. Mom just wanted clean bedding. But Blue wanted a patio throne.

The video starts with mom walking past the dining table to where the pillows and the dog are. She is filming as she heads towards them. And there is Blue, just innocently sitting right on the pillow. She looks like she just found the best seat in the house. This breed is notorious for being where the comfort is. One viewer joked that the pillow wasn’t sanitized. It was just “seasoned.”
Mericia zooms in on her face, and Blue just blinks. Then the camera pans to her butt. The text on the screen says she is guessing that this voids the sanitizing process. Her owner says she didn’t even have the “decency to tuck her tail.” Another person called this “buttholing.” It’s apparently a favorite pastime for many dogs. Especially when something is at butt level. Why put it there if it isn’t for sitting?
The comments on the video are gold. Someone said it was supposed to be in the sun, but ended up being a “full moon.” It’s basically a task that failed successfully. The pillows might not be germ-free now, but at least the dog is cozy.
One person mentioned that anything on the floor is technically dog territory. Even if it’s supposed to be laundry or decor or even themselves. Blue looks like she has zero regrets. Mom might need new pillows now, or at least a new plan, because at this point, those pillows clearly belong to Blue.
