Asia, a six-year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever, has faced more challenges than most dogs her age. Earlier this year, she lost a leg to cancer after her owner discovered a small lump on her paw. On September 8, her owner posted a video with text reading, “5 random things that now make me cry thanks to my cancer-survivor dog.”
The first moment occurs when Asia runs in her sleep, moving her amputation site as though she still has four legs. Her owner explains it’s as if she’s dreaming about running freely again. In the second footage, Asia can no longer scratch her favorite itchy spots with her missing leg. Clips show her trying, sometimes struggling, and her owner admits that this simple action brings tears to their eyes.
Another clip highlights a difficult day when Asia is unable to use her legs properly—prompting her owner to gently lift her out of a car with a supportive harness.
