Every pet owner has experienced that moment when their furry baby squared up with a bug like it’s a life-or-death battle while they sat on the sidelines, losing it. It’s a comedy special to watch your brave little pup think that the tiny insect is a deadly threat, and soon, chaos unfolds as they try to get rid of it. This dog owner documented a similar instance in a video showing her Labrador struggling to catch the annoying fly buzzing around him despite his valiant efforts in a whirlwind of wagging and frustration.
Labrador fails to catch a fly despite multiple attempts
Have you ever seen your fluffy drama queen go to war with a tiny insect while you sat in the corner laughing uncontrollably? It appears there’s something oddly hilarious about finding your four-legged companion in a situation like that, and absolutely worth parading on the internet. A dog owner shared a video of her Labrador failing to catch a fly despite multiple attempts on TikTok, and it guarantees you a good laugh.
“I’ve been sitting here, watching my dog fight with a fly for like 10 minutes now, and he cannot catch it to save his life,” the dog mom said, sharing context. She then turned the camera as the video showed her Labrador sitting next to a table in a sunlit spot with a fly buzzing around him. Woody appeared to be relaxing when the housefly started humming near him, and he put up quite a fight to get rid of it. Unfortunately, his determined efforts failed to yield results.
The video showed the Labrador trying to bite the fly a couple of times and still failing to catch it. He even turned around to look at his mom with longing eyes, seemingly asking for help, but she continued recording. Then, the clip showed the fly sitting next to Woody on the floor. Despite remaining patient, it flew straight toward the dog’s face, and he struggled to catch it again. A few barks and unsuccessful attempts later, he finally decided to tell his mom about it.
Commenters found the Lab’s reaction to the fly relatable and shared their own stories about their dogs. “Hahaha, my lab also hates flies,” wrote one user, while another revealed they once caught their pooch “imitating a grasshopper.” A third user pointed out that Woody asked his mom for help.
