Pet parents will agree that most canines love their pool time. These Golden Retrievers prove the same in a video. The canines had the time of their lives because their parents threw a pool party over the Fourth of July weekend. The pups’ joy knew no bounds as their owners’ friends hung out with them on their floatie. After all, for dogs, nothing beats a swim with their favorite humans.
Golden Retrievers hang out with humans at the pool in video
In a video from earlier this month, Golden Retriever siblings, Loki and Cosmo, spent their Fourth of July weekend in the best way possible — celebrating the holiday in the pool with their friends. The caption of the Instagram Reel read, “No one had a better holiday than loki & cosmo.” The clip has now garnered more than 127k views and almost 7k likes.
In the adorable video, Loki and Cosmo hung out with their parents and friends in the pool. In an in-video text, one explained that they “look happier” because their owners threw a party to celebrate Independence Day. However, the best part was the humans hanging out with the dogs on their floatie.
Netizens found the video absolutely adorable, with one of them joking, “Your pups think this pawty was just for them.” Others noted that the Golden Retrievers are “goals” and “livin the dream.”
However, the furry siblings’ pool shenanigans don’t end there. In a recent video, their parents flaunted “Cosmo’s swimming strategy.” The pup balances himself on the floatie and doggy paddles while staying mostly above water. His owners noted in the caption that this approach was “kind of smart.”
The pet parents have been working on getting Cosmos comfortable with the pool so he can enjoy swimming as much as his brother, Loki. In another Instagram Reel, they made him wear a safety vest before using different ways to lure him into the water. While the canine was curious about the swimming pool, he stuck to the edges for the most part, only entering the water when he had his dad helping him.
