The owners of a Corgi, Biscuit, had their lives turned upside down after she fell sick. This week, they shared a happy update about the canine via a video, informing well-wishers that she had made a complete recovery from pancreatitis and was back home.
The Instagram video captured Biscuit’s week-long journey at the hospital, with the staff and nurses tending to him as she battled for her life. The latter part of the clip showed her dad holding her as they walked out of the hospital, followed by a clip of the Corgi running around happily in her home. The owners also added clips of her peacefully sleeping by a plant, eating well, playing around, and “being her smiley Bisky self again.”
In the Instagram video’s caption, the owners revealed that Biscuit’s recovery felt like “a second chance.” They recalled how her pancreatitis diagnosis put her in danger not once but twice. However, they expressed their relief, noting they were “unbelievably fortunate” to have their pet with them alive and well.
Sharing more about her diagnosis, the owners shared that the Corgi suffered “pancreatitis, caused by poisoning to her system.” At first, her blood pressure dropped too low, potentially risking her life. After the vets stabilized her, Biscuit got a high fever, indicating an infection that posed another danger to her life. The dog parents then expressed their gratitude to the doctors for their “around the clock” care that helped the canine fight every complication.
