Video of Puppy Dreaming & Twitching Captures Hearts on Instagram

Zeus, a lovable Staffy puppy, has unknowingly become Instagram’s latest sensation — all thanks to a video of him dreaming! The clip, which has already amassed over 53K likes, captures him in the depths of a post-meal snooze, only to be interrupted by a series of dream-induced wiggles and stretches. Whether he’s chasing an imaginary ball or reliving his last snack, one thing’s for sure: the internet can’t get enough of him!

Staffy puppy’s in-sleep antics leave Instagram users in awe

Zeus’s video starts innocently enough, with the young pup peacefully dozing off after a hearty meal. Nestled comfortably with his head on a shelf, Zeus soon finds himself drifting into a deep sleep. Suddenly, the little pup twitches, stretches, and sneaks a quick peek around the room before tumbling forward and face-planting onto the floor. Despite the unexpected turn, Zeus quickly recovers from his little mishap, and undeterred, he makes his way back to the milk bar with his brother, Frank.

Scrolling through the video comments, it’s clear the puppy’s playful dream has sparked a wave of affection and amusement among Instagram users. “This made my day!,” exclaimed one user, while another joked, “Sleeps like he works two jobs and pays the bills.” Many couldn’t help but relate to the little puppy’s sleepy predicament, with remarks such as, “We’ve all been there, Zeus!” dotting the comments section.

Puppies, much like human infants, spend a significant portion of their day sleeping. On average, they require around 18 to 20 hours of rest each day to support their rapid growth and development. During these slumber sessions, they cycle through phases of deep sleep and active REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, the state responsible for dreaming. It’s not uncommon for puppies to twitch, whine, or even bark softly as their dreams unfold, much to the amusement and fascination of their human companions.
