The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is celebrating its sesquicentennial. For those of you who are wondering, that’s the 150th anniversary! And to start it off, the ASPCA is launching its 150 Days of Rescue campaign, beginning on April 10th. The goal is to inspire 150,000 actions to help animals in 150 days.

We’re taking over the Nonprofits on Facebook page today in honor of our 150th anniversary and the start of our 150 Days of Rescue campaign! Be sure to follow along! http://bit.ly/1Mk4I7c #ASPCA150

To participate, all you have to do is donate 15 minutes of your time to helping animals in need and log it in on the ASPCA’s donation page. That’s it! You’ll be helping the ASPCA reach its goal, and you’ll be making a difference in the life of a dog, cat, horse, pig, chicken, lizard, or any animal you choose. And if that’s not enough, you’ll also be entered for a chance to win a $150,000 grand prize donation to the animal shelter of your choice!

Here’s an odd question. What do Martha Stewart, Ke$ha, George Lopez, and 50 Cent have in common? They’re all among a huge group of celebrities supporting the 150 Days of Rescue campaign, too! They made a funny video giving animals voices to help get the word out. You can help get the word out, too, by sharing this announcement with your friends. It’s a great way to participate in the community while doing good work for animals.

Congratulations to the ASPCA on their 150th anniversary! Will you help them reach their goal? Let us know in the comments below!
