October 26th is International Bandanna Day.
International Bandanna Day is believed to have started in Australia to raise awareness of children living with cancer.
People living with cancer often have to undergo radiation therapy, which causes hair loss. For that reason, chemo patients sometimes wear scarves, hats, and bandannas to cover up or keep their heads warm.
I’m sure we all know people who have or had cancer, so show support and solidarity by wearing your bandanna on October 26th.
Any color will do, and you can wear it any way you like.
