BioBag Dog (5 biscuits)
Our take: These 100 percent biodegradable and compostable bags are terrific. Essentially made from corn, the BioBag meets the ASTM D6400 specification and a new California law for biodegradable and compostable product claims–meaning they really do what they say they do on the label.
They stay stable on the shelf until used, and then decompose in a composting environment within 10 to 45 days. You can toss these in your compost pile where micro-organisms will eat both the bag and the poop, or you can send the bags to commercial composting sites. (Using the compost in your garden isn’t recommended, because there’s a risk of E. coli contamination.)
BioBag also makes biodegradable bags for the kitchen and lawn.
