This is a fancy affair (ok, well sort of), and you're inviting your highbrow friends (or at least, the highest brow friends you've got), so it goes without saying that the decorations ought to be tasteful. With that in mind, now is the time to invest in your dog art collection. Fortunately, a little art goes a long way--only one or two prints are needed to give your home that upscale, gallery feel. Resist the urge to go overboard, and don't be surprised if your friends ask for the names of the artists. If you're hosting the party at home, make sure your guests have someplace to set their wine glasses where they won't get knocked over by wagging tails or wrestling Westies. As for the rest of the decor, think simple elegance: A few bouquets of fresh flowers, linen tableclothes, and your special occasion tableware (for the humans) and you're set. And of course, don't forget to vacuum up the dog hair and clear away the chew toys before the guests arrive. Whine and cheese party See all dog party themes. |

Howl o ween
Does anyone have any good ideas for a creative halloween dog costume? I know it's early, but I want to get started sewing it. |
