Kathy Gervais is a veterinarian at Pets Unlimited, one of the San Francisco Bay Area's most comprehensive animal care facilities, and a graduate of the University of Minnesota Veterinary School. She also attained a MA from UC Davis. Dr. Gervais worked as a large animal extern in New Zealand for a few months, and with Angel's Camp mixed animal practice in the Sierra Foothills for two years. She has been with Pets Unlimited since 1991. Dr. Gervais is deeply involved with Pets Unlimiteds' outreach to PAWS (Pets are Wonderful Support) and ACC (Animal Care and Control). She is also the California Veterinary Medical Association's disaster preparedness coordinator for San Francisco and is the CVMA Foundation's past President. Her main professional interests are in preventive medicine, zoometrics, and keeping Pets Unlimited's shelter residents healthy. Her personal interests are wildlife photography, travel to all ends of the earth, hiking, and cycling. She currently has two former shelter cats--Jack and Purrfect Tommy--and co-owns a Corgi-cross named Sherwood.
