More about Pepper

Pepper is a wonderful dog...smart, pretty and a fun junkie! She loves to swim and will spend hours jumping in after a tennis ball or kong toy. Sometimes she swims her own laps to her own special patterns. She will also rise up her chest while swimming and make deliberate splashes with her paws while she swims, all the while biting the water fiercely. She is gracious enough to herd our deaf and blind English Setter, Belle, around the house and yard. She adores one of our 2 male cats--Bo and Pepper have been known to nap together and they play "chase and attack" every day. The other cat, Merton, who's 15, is a different story. He early on schooled Pepper about the value of personal space. Pepper is a high jumper and I have taught her to jump through hoops. We are working on turns and playing dead at the moment. I think she would be amazing at agility. Fribees and tennis balls are her favorite toys...you will do nothing but toss balls at her if you sit down, and she catches them all. There is no toy with a squeekee inside that will survive ten minutes. All you have to do is jiggle your keys and she is at the door waiting for a car ride. She has learned not to wake up a sleeping human....she will breathe over your face and then lay down until she hears you move or sees you open your eyes. Then it's a lick fest! The best thing about Pepper is that she makes me laugh every day!
