Check Me Out!!!!My 1st day with my new mum and dad at 8 weeks old!!

Gypsy

Type: Tri Border Collie
Age: Puppy (2 dog years)
  • Best trick: Gypsy has learnt how to sit and roll over, also she dances on her hind legs to get attention!
  • Quirkiest habit: the way she stares at you like she understands everything you're saying to her!
  • Why I chose this dog: she chose me I just stalked her on the internet....but I'm a kiwi and she reminds me of home!!!! My hubby would not suit a lap dog and after raising 2 very ruff and tumble son's, I was determined to adopt a girl dog!
  • Is not a fan of: the expensive dog food I got duped into buying for her and the new vet Hugh, who shoved a thermometer up her @#%*
  • Also answers to: Little-girl, Cutie Pie and fluffy ball, much to hubby's disgust (he comes from a NZ sheep farming background) but I caught John the other day calling her Cutie!!! Ha!

More about Gypsy

I am the cutest border collie puppy I'm supposed to be tri colored but my mum suspects that I am a show dog reject because instead of being truly tri colored my body is mostly white with a black splotch on my butt but my mum reckons I have a very pretty face and beauty is in the eye of the beholder...With my first lot of Vacinations I had a reaction and developed a very angry cyst which required lancing and a course of anti-biotics...so now I have a little bald spot where my vet Hugh had to shave me so he could inflict pain...I sleep with dad most nights now especially when mum's at work on nihtshift and I refuse to sleep in my expensive bed that mum brought for me instead preferring to sleep in my dad's discarded clothing...My mum has a very cute photo of me fast asleep in my dad's undies which I dragged out of the luandry basket...my dad has banned my mum from putting this photo onto my page...I am very clever and very inquistitive and because my parents work shifts I am never alone for long periods. My parents called me Gypsy because it's their intention to travel around Australia with me in a house bus...I love the car and travel very well in the car preferring to curl up under mum's seat however that's becoming a bit of a tight squeeze as I get bigger and bigger...I have now mastered jumping up on the bed however if I whimper dad usually scoops me onto the bed where I tend to wriggle my way onto his pillow where I sleep draped over the top of dad's head like a hat...obviously this becomes a problem if I fart for both mum and dad and I tend to find myself dispatched to the floor! My mum thinks it's cute that I go to sleep sucking my dad's long hair....At the moment I'm teething and chewing lots and have disgraced my human's by chewing through mum's mobile phone charger which mum accidentially dropped on the floor...but mum reckons that's because my humans weren't onto it and now I have lots of chew toys, my favorite being my reward ball...I love humans and my x2 big brothers fight for my affection when they visit!! I live in a huge house in Doncaster, Melbourne and I have my own little paddock to play in as well as a swimming pool for the summer...I didn't take well to the puppy pad toilet training method and in the end I taught my humans to take me outside to do my business and at almost 12 weeks old I very rarely have accidents both my parents make minimal fuss when I pee accidentially on the floor, instead they pop me outside so that I can finish my business...I'm trying to make friends with the golden retreiver next door his name is Boomer and he spends most of his time locked outside and he barks all day because he misses his humans, my mum feels sorry for him and she rubs his nose through the small hole in the fence because she knows that Boomer is lonely....I don't have any sheep to round up but my dad is going to teach me to round up the x3 young babies that will be coming to stay at my house soon but first I have to learn not to nip...my mum takes lots of photo's of me and she will continue to add my pictures to my page!!! To anyone who is thinking about owning a border collie puppy, needs to be aware that we are a very energetic and intelligent breed who enjoy hard work and who need to be well socialised but we respond very well to lots of love and affection!!...Finally because I was born in Australia but my parents are Maori from NZ I'm a Mozzie (a maori ozzie)...!!
