Lottie

Type: Greyhound
Age: 4 (34 dog years)
  • Also answers to: Baby girl
  • Best trick: She runs laps around the coffee table in the living room.
  • Quirkiest habit: Greyhounds lean against people a lot, and Lottie also pushes you in the butt with her nose if you are not moving fast enough for her.
  • Why I chose this dog: Lottie is gentle and easy going as are most greyhounds.
  • Is not a fan of: People other than other greyhound owners.

More about Lottie

I've had dogs on and off all my life, but after adopting Lottie, I would never have any other dog but a greyhound. I would love 1 or 2 more. Greyhound owners are like that. Besides, these dogs deserve a loving "forever home" after what they have gone through on the track and what they endure at the kennels while they are racing. It's a wonder that they DO make such docile, easygoing and loving pets. They are also extremely sweet dogs, are very intelligent and learn fast. For instance, when we took Lottie to the vet the first time, everyone instantly fell in love with her, and now they all know her by name, and are extremely happy to see her each time we take her in. In turn, she doesn't mind going there at all because to her she is going to see all her human friends.
