More about Sweet Pea

I have 2 Pom's they are great dogs!! I recently moved to Florida to stay and help with my parents, My mom is in a wheelchair and wanted my Pom's to sit with her all day, being that they have bonded with me, they would only sit with her for short periods of time. I told her that I’d get her a get her a dog of her own, To which my dad piped up and said NO, NO more dogs!! I kept looking and looking at the ads in the paper anyway. One day a particular add jumped out at me! It was for a parti-pom. I called the ad and spoke to a women who told me that the dog was a rescue and that we would need to have patience with her. She asked me if I was familiar with rescues, I said yes that I had rescued dogs my whole life.
I told my dad that I was going to go and look at a dog. He never said a word to me.
I know that Sweet Pea was intended for my mom ,there were just to many coincidences, the lady lived off a street named CountryWide and we live off of a street named CountrySide, her age of course was approximated, they gave her a birthday of Oct 5th the same day I was born. When the lady put the dog in my lap she reached up and licked my chin. The lady said that she had never licked her chin!! So I adopted her. My mom just fell in love with her (as well as my dad). She is just 4lbs, and is one of the cutest dog that I have ever seen.
When we first got her she was so traumatized by her past, she was scared of feet, brooms etc..., when I adopted her I promised her that day that NO one would ever hurt her again!! It has took about 6 months for her to truly accept us and to trust us. She was so affectionate with my mom right from the beginning. It was like she just understood that my mom needed so much love and attention. She sits on her lap for hours on end.
She is such a great little dog!!
We thank God for bringing her into our lives.
