quiet place to grieve...I cannot imagine...
My life is All dogs, all the time! I proudly call myself a dog Geek! I do dog behavior assessments at a county animal shelter, teach pet obedience classes, dog sit, and compete with my dogs with the Mixed Breed Dog Club of Oregon. I am proud of the progress I have made in regards to dog training. I started at 19 years old being a "yank and spank" trainer. At 21, I spent a week with Jean Donaldson and crew and immediately went home and quit the school I was teaching at and have never looked back! November of 2007, I passed the CPDT certification and continue to learn, observe, struggle, and improve! My current dogs have taught me so much and I am so grateful to them for their patience and willingness to take this journey with me!

Cedar has been an amazing dog! She waited in a no kill shelter for almost a year before we could be together. She started her professional "obedience career" at around 8 years of age with the Mixed Breed Dog Club of Oregon and has earned her MB-CD, MB-RA, and had to retire with one point shy of her MB-Ch!
She is the dog of my heart and at almost 13 years of age, is still full of beans!

Sable is a wonderful dog! She won my heart from the moment I met her! She has helped me raise and train countless shelter dogs and has taught me SO much about training. Sable started her professional "obedience career" at 3 years of age with the Mixed Breed Dog Club of Oregon. She has earned her MB-Ch, MB-CD, MB-RN and CGC! We are currently working towards a MB-CDX but have a ways to go! She is a great partner and friend!

Paz came as a stray to my shelter in December of 2007. She had a microchip that went back to her original owner in Virginia. I fostered her through the winter because it was too cold for her to fly back east. After spending 8 weeks with this darling, I was in love. The original owner only wanted Paz to have a loving home and I happily agreed to give her just that! Sometime last year, before I knew Paz, her leg had been broken and never properly set. The little crooked leg does not slow her down one bit! She regularly out runs and out manuevers my pitbull! She will be starting in competition obedience soon and I can't wait! She is the youngest member of my household and has brought a spark of youthfulness into our house!
