Ginger and I are a therapy dog team. We visit hospitals and children's homes in our community. We also did the Summer Reading program at our local library this summer. Ginger learned to swim this summer and saw the beach for the first time. Although she loved the beach, she is not to keen on the water.

09/02/09 03:05 PM	Hi Linda. Thank you for your post. Your Coton can over come her shyness by sociallizing her more. Just start taking her everywhere with you and don't respond too much to her as she is acting shy. Use treats/praise when she moves forward will help. — Jennifer Sigling

05/19/08 10:36 PM	Ginger sounds amazing - do you have a picture? We take our cockapoo to visit my mother in law at the nursing home and Benji is amazing with all the patients, and he sometimes comes with me to work. But what a great idea to train as a therapy dog! — Birgit
05/16/08 01:18 PM	Ginger is now a registered therapy dog. She never ceases to amaze me. Last night for the very first time a patient in a wheel chair took the leash and walked Ginger through the facility. She did just great. Ginger seems to really enjoy the work. — Jennifer Sigling
04/29/08 07:54 AM	Ginger has past her first two in facility tests for therapy dog work. We have one more to go. Ginger really loves working with the children at Shriner's Children's Hospital and performing her tricks for the children. — Jennifer Sigling
04/09/08 02:22 PM	Ginger and I have passed our evaluation and test for therapy dog work. We have 3 in facility evalutations. If we do well, we will be certified by May. — Jennifer Sigling
