Our Story:
I was volunteering at CHAT that day and the director, Lisa, asked me if I wanted to help her with the meds for the new incoming dogs from the Wakulla County Animal Control. She asked me to go get the dog in run #4 and what I saw was two big beautiful sad brown eyes looking up at me through long tangled dirty hair. Those eyes said to me, “Is this all there is?”
She gave him meds and then discovered he had heart worm. After I bathed him, I said you are coming home with me.
I kept him in our bedroom and took the utmost quality care of him. I talked to and loved on him constantly. He is now heart worm free.
He will be with me always and knows this is his forever home. We have made each other very happy.
