Looking for family dog

My family hasn't had a dog for a while now so we were thinking about getting one to bright up the house. -small,size around pomeranians -moderately active i.e walks, couch dog,( not as active like those hunting dogs) -barking is kept to a minimum(as to not disturb our neighbors and my parents) -not high maintainence I dont know if this is the right way to put it, but it would help me alot if you guys can tell me which to pick.
