Barking
I have tried everything with my now 6yr old Maltese/Min Pinch to try to control his barking, particularly when out on a walk. On walks he starts off barking and should he see someone or another dog it becomes almost uncontrollable. We have tried training, bark collars, natural calming treats and even resorted to trying prescription meds. Although things have helped at times, nothing seems to really resolve the problem. It makes walks not enjoyable for either of us.

Dominance: Dog training's dirty word
My 4 month old black lab has alot of energy. Sometimes, after a walk, during a walk or when just playing in the backyard he will stop, look at me then basically "atttack" me... He jumps up starts biting at me. I have tried the "ignoring" thing and the "rolling on the back and "muzzling" thing as well, he reacts better to the dominance roll. Any suggestions?

Bassett/Plott hound cross
Has anyone out there seen one. Saw a beautiful one up for adoption locally and was curious to find out what kind of personality he would have. This is a one year old neutered male, beautiful brindle color with short legs. Would like other opinions as to what kind of pet this would make.

maltese/shih tzu mix ~ dental
my little girl is four years old and up until about 6 months ago, i brushed her teeth at least 3-4 times a week. now, i only get to do it maybe once a week. well, the left side is really starting to look bad aroundf her gumline. i am a certified vet tech so i do know the benefits and such of performing dentals and taking care of their teeth. i just want to do anything other than a dental at this time bc it is not b... Dog games
I need idea's for my saint bernard to do and play he has two other females for campaions but they have a large fenced in yard if he's not barking at top of the fence at the people who walk by he is laying on the deck as well as the girls doing realy nothing. aggression
i need help. I have a 17 month old newf, When anybody comes to the door he becomes extremely aggresive. we have had two situations that friends have open the door and he goes for them. I f i let the person in he is fine. Any suggestions on how to stop the aggression with the door.
