“I just bought 2 blue pitbull puppies they had goten 3 sets of shots before we got them. My male has parvo we are on day 6 and he is improving but far from healthy. My female I gave a boster the night my male showed signs. She showed some symptoms after 3 days but she is fine now. This just shows that no matter if you have vaccines or not there is always a chance for them to get parvo always vacconate at 6 weeks, 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age then every yr. I have been up with him every hour on the hour for 4 days and the first 48 hours I had only gotten 2 hours of sleep pushing meds and fluids. Put he seems to be pulling through it so I am very thankful for that. Like several people now adays I couldn't afford the vet hospitalization so I chose home care this would be my 2 nd puppy to get parvo within 3 months and I have pulled both of them out of it. We just assumed they had shots and wouldnt get it boy were we wrong.”

“Our 2 year old dog was just diagnosed with parvo after they put her through a misdiagnose blockage in her stomach and exploritory surgery. They say she will be fine with just fluids and IVS in the hospital. She was there a week before for stitches and I think she got parvo from there. When we took her in for not eating and lethargic, they tossed the odea of it being parvo. Then allowed other dogs into the room she was in. So now those dogs have been exposed. Such a horrible vet and they seemed to put her through surgery for no reason just to get money from us. We have 4 other dogs at home, they are vaccinated but Im still worried. Vet said the virus can stay here for up to a year. So now we have to be very cautious. But pup isnt dead so it is possible for older dogs with parvo to live. Dont give up!”

“I just had to put down two dogs in two days from parvo it really is not a fun virus! My first one to show signs and get put down was my 1 1/2 year old, which I thought was odd, then my 3 month old puppy, why do you think my older one got sick first? And why do you think he even got the virus being older?
I even have a 3 1/2 year old, who is fine..I just dont understand, my puppy had already gotten his first shot.”
