“My poodle mix is 17 years and 5 months old. He has been with me since he was 5 weeks old. I had to bottle feed him when I first brought him home. He is now blind, hard of hearing and has no teeth left. But for his age he has a good appetite. He has always slept on the bed with me. Somehow he knows when it is bedtime every night, if I am not up getting ready he barks at me. I know he can't be here forever, but I can wish!”

“My senior friend (cocker spaniel) does not seem to want to walk. He stays rigid when I place the lead on him and will only take a few steps in any direction. He wants back into the house Help !! I know he needs his exercise but I don't want to tug him and hurt his neck He just will not move....”

“my 11 yr old lab has been diagnosed with old dog lungs. The poor girl has been panting non stop. Her heart is good but her lungs are aging. She is now on antiobiotics for congestion and something else to help with the constriction of her lungs. I wish there was something else I could do for her.”

“Tessa is almost thirteen yrs (JRT), and like your dog the only bed she considered hers...was mine!!, however lately she has taken to going to her own bed...but if I get up and check where she is..she follows me back, but as you say..all of a sudden the heat pad is more attractive then the top of my bed!!!”

“our 13 1/2 yr Golden never laid on any dog beds we bought for him throughout the years. as a lark, we purchased a leather covered, fleece pillowed rectangular dog bed, complete with orthopaedic foam. Surprise! He lays on it all the time! So much so that we purchased a second bed so he can sprawl across the two beds and not hang off the edge (he is a 100+ lb Golden). Well worth the purchase price when we hear him sigh contentedly.”
