• Trouble getting our dog to potty when away from home.

  We have a 2 1/2 year old Lhasa Apso and she love to go for rides, but she will not potty when we are on the road. We tried taking her on one long trip and had to cut it short when she would not go. She hates to be left home when we go on long trips and we hate leaving her behind, but we have no idea what to do. When we have her out she is always on a leash and at home we have a fenced yard that she has free access to. Any ideas would be wonderful.

• shared charter flight for pets from Australia to Europe

  Hi - I am searching for others who are relocating to Europe with (without is ok too) an animal. I am wanting to collect a core of people with pets who want to share in the costs of a charter flight. To charter a flight to Europe is costly but it will allow us all to share the cost while letting our pets fly in the cabin with us. This will offer safe on-board and humane travel for our beloved pets. If you are interested you must be date flexible, destination flexible, be able to pay as much as $10,000 for a one way ride and have all the relevant animal importation documents need for Europe. To make any flight work we need to amass up to 15 people who are willing to put their animals safety first.   We don’t get a lot of snow in Australia. And only at higher elevations. Years ago I went skiing. It rained. Cold icy horrible rain. My misery made worse by a friend who didn’t seem to mind. He was ENJOYING himself. Afterwards, he scraped the frozen layer off the car’s windscreen with his bare hands. While I looked on shivering. Nevertheless, I spend winters here fantasising about visiting the snow…but not quite getting there. When Lila entered our lives, the incentive grew stronger. I felt that, as a Labrador, she needed snow. She has snow genes. So I started investigating snowy places that would allow dogs. The options were few. And eventually spring started to feel like summer and I’d pretty much given up. But then a miracle happened: Mother Nature took a freakish turn and dumped about six inches of the white stuff on nearby hills. No one could believe it. This much snow isn’t supposed to happen around here. Not at any time of year. I rang a hilltop pub to confirm the rumour. An awestruck publican said yes it was true, but warned that the roads were closed. Undaunted, I packed up Lila, picked up my adventurous friend Helen and her seven-year-old border collie-kelpie cross Wilkie, and made plans to sneak up to the snow. • "pet airways"

  Hello- does anyone out there know if "pet Airways" is still in business. I was so looking forward to taking a trip with my goldedn to california, and I see on twitter they say they suspended travel in March to prepare for expansion . and have not tweeted since... and now their web site does not seem to work ...cant make a reservation ... if anyone has the latest on these guys please let me know ...i was really looking forward to a great trip with my best friend.... thx meredoo
