6 Woof-Worthy Ways Dog Lovers Can Save On Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day starts on July 16, 2018, and it’s a barking good day for dog lovers to catch some great deals. The 36-hour sale begins on Monday at noon PT and continues until Tuesday, July 17th at 11:59 pm PT. What kinds of doggy deals can Prime members expect? Amazon is keeping that a surprise, but there are plenty of things you can do right now to make sure you’re getting the most out of the sale. Here are six things dog lovers can do to take advantage of the woof-worthy deals on Amazon Prime Day.

1. Sign Up For The Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial

Of course, to get all the discounts on Amazon Prime Day, you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member, but the good news is that you can sign up for a 30-day trial for free. When you do, you’ll get to see the Prime Day deals, you’ll get free two-day shipping, and on qualifying orders over $35, you can get free same-day or one-day shipping. People in some cities can even get free one-hour or two-hour shipping on certain items. Click here to start your trial.

If you only want the deals on Prime Day or you aren’t happy with your membership, you can cancel at any time before the 30 days are up at no cost. That said, I use my Amazon Prime membership to shop for dog supplies whenever I need to. I can get poop bags without leaving home, then have a good cry while watching Where The Red Fern Grows on Prime Video, then download Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover’s Soul to my Kindle, so I love my membership.

2. Get $10 Off Just For Downloading The Amazon App

Once you’ve signed up for Amazon Prime, you’ll get $10 on your first purchase of $20 or more when you download and sign into the Amazon app from your mobile device for the first time. The app also lets you get notifications when there are deals on items in your watchlist, track your packages, and manage your shopping list. Amazon is basically paying you to have a more convenient online shopping experience, so you can splurge on your pooch with a little extra cash on Prime Day. Click here to download the app.

3. Get $5 Off For Installing Amazon Assistant

When you sign up for Amazon Prime and download Amazon Assistant, you’ll get $5 off on your purchase of $25 or more. Amazon Assistant is an extension for your web browser that makes Amazon shopping more convenient. It will send notifications to your desktop when items on your watchlist go on sale, so you won’t miss any deals on the things you want. That’s $5 more for dog toys and treats that will have your pup barking for joy. Click here to install Amazon Assistant.

4. Get $5 Off For Using Camera Search In The App

Camera Search is a feature in the Amazon app that uses your device’s camera to show you products in AR, scan barcodes, and use gift cards among other things. When you use Camera Search, you’ll get $5 off on select deals, so give it a try and see what you can find. Hopefully you can stop taking pictures of your adorable pooch long enough to use your phone camera for some discounts. Click here to find out more about Camera Search.

5. Get 10 Percent Cash Back When You Shop At Whole Foods With Amazon Prime Rewards Visa

If you sign up for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa and you’re a Prime member, you can get 10 percent cash back on purchases up to $400 at Whole Foods, but the promo ends when Prime Day is over. After that, you can still get 5 percent back on eligible purchases at whole foods. So you can shop for fresh, organic food for your dog, then spend all the cash you get back on more dog stuff during Prime Day. Click here to find out more about the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa promo.

6. Make Your Watchlist And Get Notifications

Amazon allows you to place items on your watchlist so you get notified when the things you want are on sale. If you have the app or Amazon Assistant, you can get notifications sent right to your phone or desktop. It’s the easiest way to keep track and jump on the Prime Day deals as they come up. Amazon can also send you email notifications, so there are plenty of ways to stay in the loop. It’s kind of like how your dog barks to let you know when there are squirrels outside, but a little less noisy. Click here to check out the Prime Day shopping guide for more tips on how to save.
