FlexGel Luxury Pet Bed
Our take: Wow! This company uses the same gel as the company's human medical beds. The honeycomb structure distributes weight evenly, which isn't much of an issue for Clint's 9 pounds, but it distributed nicely for Fred, the 20-pounder geriatric, as well as my sister's 50-pound dog. The cover is some proprietary material they make with copper woven in so it's stain protected, anti-microbial, hypo-allergenic, and anti-bacterial. It doesn't cling to odor, bacteria, or parasites such as dust mites, so it's good for incontinent, ill, or allergic dogs. Both the honeycomb structure and the cover can be machine washed and dried (woo hoo!). The dogs weigh in: Clint and Fred both loved the comfort factor. It's shaped like a flat pad so both Clint and Fred could get on at the same time (they could, but didn't. Let's get real.) They both prefer nestle beds, but this was clearly comfortable and Clint slept like a poodle rock on it. Cost: high --Phyllis DeGioia Orthopedic bed reviews See all product reviews. |
